In the heart of wild and unspoiled nature, Holbox Island, is located north of Playa del Carmen. You will take a small boat with a nature guide from Chiquila for an 1 hour and a half tour to Isla de la Pasion and Punta Mosquito. . Once on the island of Holbox, take your golf car and let the island charm you with its colorful streets. Holbox is an open-air museum, discover the multiple painting on different walls and enjoy the small sandy roads streets. You will lunch a typical buffet. End your day with some free time to swim and enjoy the sun.

1) Holbox (34 km long and about 1.6 km wide) belongs to the Yum-Balam Natural Reserve.
2) Every year, from June to September, you can see many whale sharks in the waters around the island.
3) The phenomenon of Bioluminescence is a spectacular light effect produced by microorganisms on the beaches of this small Caribbean island. It can be observed all year long (and especially from April to November).
4) Holbox means "big hairy feet" in Mayan and probably refers to the lagoon waters darkened by the mangrove.
5) Locals and tourists travel mainly by golf cart. Cars are prohibited on this island to prevent the silting of the streets and protect the environment.
